Sozo meetings
- Romsey 2008 at Mountbatten School
The Sozo meetings
are led by Pastor Marion Daniel, with her family and team. Many
people who attend are also attached to local churches and join us
every third week throughout the year for additional teaching and
fellowship. We are not an established church, but a ministry within
the Body; with a vision for healing, miracles, deliverance and victorious
living.
MEETINGS We
would appreciate people arriving early to be ready to worship at
2.30pm. We would ask folk to enter into the presence of God as they
come through the door and get "caught up" in praise and
worship. The service finishes approx 5pm.
REFRESHMENT
FACILITIES If you have travelled a long way and would appreciate
a drink upon your arrival, please see a steward. Please note that
it is only possible to offer this to the minority who have been
several hours travelling. Stewards are available throughout the
service should you have any urgent needs. Immediately after the
service, refreshments are available. Drinks, sandwiches, cakes etc.
are on sale.
BOOKSTALL There
is an extensive range of books,cd's, tapes and videos available,
some of which are not available from mainstream Christian bookshops,
(click here to see our on-line
catalogue!). THE MESSAGE OF THE DAY IS AVAILABLE AT THE BOOKSTALL
IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE SERVICE.
AFTER SERVICE
FELLOWSHIP Get to know others from all over England, and fellowship
over tea! - stay to share, pray and encourage one another.
COUNSELLING
(6.30pm-9pm) We are in faith that your needs will be met during
the service, please respond to all the ministry offered. If you
decide after the meeting that you would still like personal counsel,
please see a steward who will direct you to the counselling co-ordinator.
We appreciate that most people want to be seen as early as possible,
but we use our discernment over timing of appointments and endeavour
to help the weak first.
CHILDREN'S MINISTRY
Children are encouraged to take a full part in the services. That
can either be with their parents or by joining the Faith School
leaders and other children. The leaders join together with the children
for the Praise & Worship and then during the Word, the children
go off to their own meeting. We have 3 groups: Meshach's, Shadrach's
and Abednego's covering ages from 3 to 13. They are escorted to
and from their meetings by the leaders. After the main meeting we
have "After Sozo Club". By signing your child in and out
they can be left until 8pm for fun, games, arts & crafts in
various different gyms and rooms. ALL leaders have been fully Police
Checked & approved and we adhere to the Church Child Protection
Agency, (see below).
CHILD PROTECTION
- This
information is here to benefit all who come to our meetings.
Sozo Ministries
International has a Child Protection Policy in place which has been
formulated in consultation with the Churches Child Protection Agency.
We include an extract from the policy below for information.
Fellowship Statement - The
fellowship has a growing children’s and young people’s
ministry. The Trustees and the Fellowship Leadership Team, hereafter
“the CC” (Church Council), takes seriously its responsibility
to protect and safeguard the welfare of children and young people
entrusted to the church’s care.
Fellowship Mission
- As part of the mission, the Church Council is committed to:
· Listening
to, relating effectively and valuing children and young people whilst
ensuring their protection within church activities.
· Encouraging
and supporting parents/carers.
. Ensuring
that children’s/youth workers are given support and training.
· Having
a system for dealing with concerns about possible abuse.
· Maintaining
good links with the statutory child care authorities.
Please note
that it is a SCHOOL RULE that children should not be left unattended
at any time whilst they are with us.
